Building Department Services, Inc. (BDS) is a California Corporation providing municipal consulting services. BDS provides services to Building and Safety Departments including:

• Building Plan Review
• Fire Safety Plan Review
• Building Department Administration
• Building Inspections
• Staff Augmentation

BDS is currently providing service to twelve (12) Municipalities located in Central California. Mark Kahler, the Founder, President, Operations Manager, and Project Manager has over 25 years experience in the Building and Safety Services Industry. Because our firm is relatively small our clients benefit by receiving personal and quality services.

BDS has extensive experience performing plan examination and inspection duties on behalf of a diverse client group.  Projects have ranged from the simple to the complex across all occupancy classifications and types of construction. We encourage feed back on each project, as it improves our abilities to expeditiously customize our services to match the Jurisdiction’s requirements. The ability to communicate with our clients allows us to stay current with client driven issues, and deliver a product that is custom-fit to their precise needs. We have the flexibility and experience to provide a building official, plans examiners, and inspectors to assist Jurisdictions with establishing or maintaining building code enforcement programs.
